Patriots Fight Crime; Leftists Shield Terrorists

By Hotspotnews

While Brazilians continue to bury victims of gang violence, leftist politicians in Brasília have found their true enemy: not the narco-terrorists who control prisons, favelas, and drug routes across the hemisphere — but a senator trying to crush them.

Senator Flávio Bolsonaro did what any responsible leader should do. He traveled to Washington, sat down with President Donald Trump and top American officials, and delivered a clear message: enough. Brazil’s two most powerful criminal organizations — the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) and Comando Vermelho (CV) — are not misunderstood social clubs. They are savage enterprises that traffic drugs, slaughter police officers, torture civilians, and export chaos to the United States and Europe.

The Trump administration promptly designated the PCC and Comando Vermelho as foreign terrorist organizations. This is common-sense international cooperation against a shared threat. Criminal enterprises that operate across borders deserve no sanctuary in the name of “sovereignty.” True sovereignty means protecting your citizens, not shielding barbarians who turn cities into war zones. Flávio’s actions reflect a patriotic commitment to public security — a stark contrast to years of domestic excuses and half-measures.

Yet predictably, Brazil’s radical left reacted with outrage. Lawmakers from PSOL and Rede Sustentabilidade rushed to file a formal complaint with the Procuradoria-Geral da República (PGR), accusing Flávio of violating national sovereignty by “inviting foreign interference.” Instead of applauding a blow against narco-terrorism, they clutched their pearls and weaponized the justice system.

Their complaint reveals more than legal nitpicking — it exposes a worldview that prioritizes anti-American posturing and the protection of criminal fiefdoms over the lives of ordinary Brazilians. While families live in fear of PCC death squads, these lawmakers treat American sanctions on terrorists as a greater affront than the daily bloodshed at home.

This episode lays bare the choice facing Brazil ahead of 2026. On one side stands a conservative movement that refuses to surrender to crime, seeks strong alliances with freedom-loving nations like the United States, and puts the safety of the people first. On the other, a left-wing establishment that cries “imperialism” the moment anyone challenges the gangs that thrive under weak governance.

Flávio Bolsonaro’s straightforward diplomacy delivered results where years of hand-wringing have failed. The left’s hysterical response — rushing to criminalize anti-crime advocacy — only confirms what many Brazilians already know: for too many on the socialist side, “sovereignty” is a slogan used to defend the indefensible, while real sovereignty — the right of citizens to live without terror — is treated as negotiable.

The Brazilian people deserve leaders who fight narco-terrorists, not those who sue the fighters. In an era of rampant violence, patriotism demands action, not apologies to criminals. Flávio’s move was a win for law and order, and the left’s panic proves it struck a nerve.
