The Unjust Persecution of Jair Bolsonaro Must End Now
By Hotspotnews
The latest move by the Procuradoria-Geral da República (PGR) to recommend the archiving of yet another baseless inquiry against former President Jair Bolsonaro and his ally Walter Braga Netto should be a moment of triumph for truth. Yet, shockingly, Bolsonaro remains shackled under house arrest, a glaring testament to the relentless political persecution orchestrated by a biased judiciary and a vengeful leftist agenda.
This latest inquiry, probing alleged misuse of public resources during the patriotic Independence Day rallies of September 7, 2022, has been dismantled by the PGR’s own admission that the accusations lack merit—claims already exhausted in prior investigations. For too long, Bolsonaro, a leader who dared to defend Brazil’s sovereignty, family values, and economic freedom, has been the target of a witch hunt. The PGR’s decision should have rung the death knell for this farce, yet the Supreme Court’s inaction keeps him confined, a prisoner of a system hellbent on silencing his voice.
The hypocrisy is staggering. While the left cries for democracy, they trample it underfoot, using the courts as weapons to punish a man who lost an election but never lost the trust of millions. The house arrest, imposed under the flimsy pretext of a social media ban violation, reeks of desperation. Eased only slightly to allow family visits, it remains a cruel overreach—stripping a former leader of his dignity while his supporters, including voices like Deputy Bibo Nunes, rally for his freedom. The images of Bolsonaro, once a symbol of resilience, now under electronic surveillance, burn in the hearts of patriots who see through this charade.
This is not justice; it is vengeance dressed in judicial robes. The same courts that convicted Bolsonaro’s allies, like General Walter Braga Netto, on dubious coup charges, ignore the real threat: a judiciary that bends to political whims. The left’s narrative of a “coup plot” has crumbled under scrutiny, yet the punishment persists. Why? Because releasing Bolsonaro would admit the error of years of persecution, a blow to the egos of those who thrive on power, not principle.
Brazil’s conservatives must rise. The PGR’s recommendation is a crack in the wall of this injustice—let it be the beginning of its collapse. Demand Bolsonaro’s immediate release. Flood the streets, the airwaves, and the halls of power with the cry of “Libertem Bolsonaro Já!” The truth has prevailed once; it must prevail again. A nation that cages its heroes while coddling its ideologues is a nation sliding into darkness. The time to act is now—before the chains of tyranny tighten further.
