Eduardo Bolsonaro Breaks the Silence
By Hotspotnews
Eduardo Bolsonaro released a roughly 53-minute video on his YouTube channel on November 3, 2026, titled “A saída do Flávio Bolsonaro do Brasil: o que eu sei e o que vem agora.” It is his first extended public statement after the October 25 presidential runoff. In the video and its short teaser, he discusses the election result in which Lula received approximately 51.8 percent of valid votes to Flávio Bolsonaro’s 48.2 percent, a margin of about 4.4 million votes, and the circumstances of Flávio’s subsequent departure from Brazil.
Eduardo argues that the outcome should not be recognized. He points to Lula’s gain of more than 10 million votes between the first and second rounds, the fact that Flávio had finished ahead in the first round, and the last-minute decision by Supreme Court Justice Cristiano Zanin to extend voting hours nationwide by two hours. He also highlights a Federal Police request, reported as occurring seven minutes after the Superior Electoral Court confirmed the result, seeking seizure of Flávio’s passports. These points repeat arguments Eduardo had made days earlier in an English-language video aimed at international audiences. Brazilian electoral authorities promptly have certified the result, and the Liberal Party acknowledged the outcome while noting questions about the process; no evidence of ballot fraud has been validated by the Tribunal Superior Eleitoral.
Flávio Bolsonaro was ordered by Justice Alexandre de Moraes to surrender his passports within 24 hours in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged money laundering linked to online betting activities. The order followed the election and referenced prior public comments by Eduardo suggesting Flávio should leave the country if defeated. Flávio did not comply. He crossed into Argentina with his family on the night of October 27, flew via Ecuador, and arrived in the Miami area the following day. U.S. authorities confirmed visas were issued. Eduardo’s video frames the passport request and the departure as part of a broader pattern of political pressure following the runoff.
The video positions the family’s presence in the United States as continued opposition to the Lula government from abroad. It does not present new documentary evidence of electoral irregularities beyond the statistical and procedural points already raised by the campaign. Official tallies, the reduction in abstention from the first to the second round, and the limited number of additional votes cast during the extended hours (estimated at under 0.03 percent of the total) are part of the public record cited by analysts examining the result.
The opposition is necessary, Flavio won, but unfortunately dealing with a corrupt system is a problem Brazil has since 2022. A country with so much potential reduced to cheated elections. The people of Brazil deserves better.
