Brazil: Flavio Bolsonaro on His Way To Victory

    By Hotspotnews

On Sunday night, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro sat down with Mariana Godoy on Record’s Domingo Espetacular and delivered one of the clearest campaign interviews of the 2026 race. In just over 20 minutes he moved from family, film financing, and fiscal discipline to a hard security agenda that his supporters immediately recognized as the core of his bid for the Planalto. The tone was calm, the answers direct, and the message consistent: Brazil needs order, work, and patriotism again.

On the most controversial topic of recent months—the October 2025 comment about U.S. strikes on drug boats and vessels in Guanabara Bay—Flávio did not retreat. He called the original post an analogy. Drugs reach Rio by river as well as by land, he said, and the groups that move them behave like terrorist organizations. One of his first acts as president, he promised, would be to designate Comando Vermelho, PCC, and militias as terrorist organizations. The Armed Forces would then use their existing police powers to support state forces. Cooperation with the United States would focus on intelligence sharing and training, not foreign troops on Brazilian soil. The framing was simple: Brazil will defend itself, and it will do so without apology.

He was equally firm on the Dark Horse documentary about his father. The project received private money, he repeated. There was no public funding and no illegal counterpart. “Nada de ilegal,” he said, and left the subject there. The same steadiness appeared when Godoy asked about a possible ministerial post for Jair Bolsonaro. Flávio answered that he still seeks his father’s counsel every day of the campaign and that any official role would depend on Jair’s own will. He also restated his commitment to amnesty or, if necessary, a pardon for those convicted over the events of 8 January.

On the economy he spoke of a necessary fiscal adjustment and a “digital governance” system using artificial intelligence to track public spending within six to twelve months of taking office. On labor he rejected a simple end to the 6×1 scale. Workers, he argued, should be free to negotiate the schedule that suits them without losing rights. In education he called for practical subjects—financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and civic formation—inside public schools. For the Supreme Court he offered a clear filter: he would nominate men and women who are patriots, opposed to abortion and drugs, and unwilling to use the bench as a political weapon.

The interview did not invent a new Flávio. It presented the same candidate his base has followed for months: a senator who treats organized crime as a national-security problem, who defends the family name without embarrassment, and who talks about work and fiscal reality instead of slogans. Record’s audience saw a man who believes he will win in the first round on 4 October and who is already describing the government he intends to form.

Supporters left the broadcast with a simple conclusion. The candidate who once posted an envious remark about American action against drug boats now speaks as someone ready to give Brazil its own version of that resolve—under Brazilian command. That, they say, is the road to victory.
