Alexandre de Moraes is in some real trouble and Washington is watching!

    By Hotspotnews

That’s the line Jason Miller posted this week, tagging Brazil’s Supreme Court and dropping an image of Justice Alexandre de Moraes with a sign around his neck: BANCO MASTER — R$129 million.

It’s a punchy meme. The underlying story is bigger.

Banco Master, the bank built around Daniel Vorcaro, collapsed amid allegations of a massive fraud. For months the political fight centered on a contract of about R$129–131 million between the bank and the law firm of Moraes’s wife, Viviane Barci de Moraes.

Then the latest Federal Police material, unsealed by fellow Justice André Mendonça, pushed the case from “family law firm got a huge client” to something much harder to shrug off:

    •  Messages from Vorcaro seeking advice, intervention, or protection from a contact investigators identified as Moraes

    •  Document metadata indicating Moraes reviewed or edited a version of the contract

    •  Reported perks around the family, including private aviation and high-limit cards

Major Brazilian papers that long treated Moraes as untouchable suddenly published editorials saying he should resign. New impeachment requests piled up in the Senate. Inside the STF, Moraes and Mendonça are now openly at war.

Moraes’s side says he looked at the contract only to check for conflicts, found none, and never judged Banco Master cases. He has not been charged. That defense is now colliding with documents, metadata, and a political climate that no longer gives him the benefit of the doubt.

Miller is not a neutral observer. He’s a longtime Trump adviser and a persistent Moraes critic — including after Brazilian authorities detained him in 2021 on Moraes’s order. His post is advocacy, not a court filing. But he is pointing at a real institutional crisis: the most powerful judge in Brazil, the man who sent Jair Bolsonaro to prison, is now the one under the spotlight.

The question is no longer whether Banco Master was a scandal. It is whether Alexandre de Moraes can survive being in the middle of it.
