Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter take Walt Disney Theater Stage this summer with live orchestra and 40-foot HD screen
Orlando, FL — Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts continues to redefine live entertainment with its growing lineup of Films in Concert—a dynamic fusion of cinema and symphony that brings iconic movie moments to life starting in June 2025.
From legendary film franchises to beloved video games, this immersive and emerging format invites guests to experience the emotional power of a live orchestra performing the original score in perfect sync with the full-length movie.
These unique events remove the recorded film soundtrack played during traditional screenings, allowing a full symphony orchestra to provide the entire musical backdrop —heightening every emotion, amplifying suspense and transforming the film-viewing experience.
Whether it’s the soaring themes of Harry Potter, the epic crescendos of The Lord of the Rings or the nostalgic melodies of Stardew Valley, each performance is a feast for both the eyes and ears.
