Dr. Phillips Center Summer Camps are Now Open for Enrollment
From Musical Theater to Improv and Broadway, Camps Open for Students of all Ages and Skill Levels
Orlando, FL – Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts today announces the 2025 summer camp lineup at AdventHealth School of the Arts. The camps range in themes, ages and experience levels. Students will have the opportunity to experience hands-on classes to sharpen performance skills or try something new, learning from professionals in a supportive and energetic environment.
To support the art centers vision of delivering Arts for Every Life®, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts works to provide high-quality, professional arts experiences for those who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to pursue the artistic excellence. Scholarship opportunities are available and are based on financial need and/or strong interest in the performing arts.
Dr. Phillips Center Summer 2025 Camps include:
Take It From The Top Broadway Intensive (June 9-13, 2025): A professional Broadway workshop designed by Broadway veterans Paul Canaan and Tony Award Nominee Laura Bell Bundy. Participants will explore the “triple threat” of music, dance, and theater with a final performance for an invited audience of family and friends in Steinmetz Hall.
Theater Arts: A Devised Theater Journey (June 30-July 3, 2025): Through the use of acting, movement, poetry, and music, students will be able to use their imagination to tell a never-before-seen unique story. Friends and family will be invited to the final showcase on a professional stage.
Musical Theater: Best of Broadway (July 7-11, 2025): A Broadway themed musical theater week created to expand vocal technique, character development, dance, and stage presence. Friends and family will be invited to the final showcase on a professional stage.
Musical Theater: The Magic of Disney (July 14-18, 2025): Through theatrical performance combining songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance, students will tell a thrilling story while moving through some favorite Disney Movies! Friends and family will be invited to the final showcase on a professional stage.
Comedy: Improv Intensive with SAK Comedy Lab (July 14-18, 2025): Students have an opportunity to delve into comedy, stand up, monologue, and improv while working through various acting and improvisational methods with expert Improvisors. Friends and family will be invited to the final showcase on a professional stage.
Musical Theater: An Epic Universal Adventure (July 21-25, 2025): Explore the various lessons of individuality, friendship, kindness, and confidence from popular Universal DreamWorks films such as How to Train Your Dragon, Trolls, Madagascar, Despicable Me, and Shrek through script reading, singing, and dancing. Friends and family will be invited to the final showcase on a professional stage.
Musical Theater: Disney’s Royals & Rebels (July 28-August 1, 2025): During this exciting musical theater week, students will visit the world of the Descendants and Zombies franchises. Through theatrical performance combining songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance, students will discover if it is truly “good to be bad.” Friends and family will be able to see the performance in the final showcase on a professional stage.
