Exposed: Forensic Evidence Reveals Backdated Federal Police Report Used to Justify Raids on Bolsonaro Supporters

In a stunning revelation that underscores growing concerns over judicial overreach in Brazil, an independent digital forensic analysis has confirmed what many conservatives have long suspected: key documents underpinning authoritarian-style operations against pro-Bolsonaro businessmen were fabricated after the fact. This isn’t mere procedural sloppiness—it’s potential fraud that strikes at the heart of due process and the rule of law.

The case dates back to August 2022, when Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes authorized aggressive raids and asset freezes against prominent entrepreneurs, including Luciano Hang of the Havan retail chain and others. The targets were accused of “anti-democratic” activities based on leaked WhatsApp messages from a private group discussing politics and election concerns. Mainstream outlets framed it as a necessary defense of democracy. In reality, it looked like targeted persecution of successful business leaders who dared support Jair Bolsonaro.

Now, forensic experts have blown the lid off the official narrative. A detailed independent laudo pericial, commissioned by investigative journalist David Ágape and conducted by renowned digital forensics specialists Reginaldo Tirotti and Jacqueline Tirotti, examined the Federal Police report signed by delegate Fábio Alvarez Shor. Officially dated August 19, 2022—purportedly providing the legal foundation for the August 23 raids—the document’s metadata tells a different story.

The PDF file was not created until **August 29, 2022**—a full six days *after* the raids had already taken place. The analysis reveals the document was generated in a single compilation using software like OpenPDF, with digitally “transplanted” signatures lacking proper ICP-Brasil certification. This points to classic **antedatação** (backdating), a tactic that undermines the entire chain of custody and legal validity of the operation.<grok:render card_id=”e3090d” card_type=”citation_card” type=”render_inline_citation”><argument name=”citation_id”>0</argument></grok:render>

As Reginaldo Tirotti emphasized, this isn’t subjective opinion—it’s cold, technical evidence from metadata timestamps that no amount of spin can erase. The peritos, with decades of experience serving Brazilian courts, prosecutors, and even the Federal Police itself, concluded there was clear evidence of procedural manipulation.

This scandal fits a broader pattern. Former TSE advisor Eduardo Tagliaferro has publicly accused Moraes of directing the backdating of technical reports to retroactively justify actions that began with nothing more than media leaks and informal intelligence. Critics argue these inquiries—often conducted in secret under the banner of “defending democracy”—have weaponized the judiciary against political opponents, silencing dissent through censorship, fines, and arrests while ordinary Brazilians watch their freedoms erode.

Supporters of Moraes claim such measures were essential to prevent another January 8-style unrest or threats to institutions. But when the very reports used to launch raids are proven to have been manufactured afterward, it raises profound questions: Were these operations based on evidence, or on political vendettas? Why the rush to raid before paperwork was even finalized? And why has the establishment media largely ignored or downplayed this forensic bombshell from September 2025?

Conservatives have warned for years that Brazil’s Supreme Court, under figures like Moraes, has transformed into an unchecked power center—investigator, prosecutor, judge, and executioner rolled into one. This backdated report scandal adds fuel to calls for accountability, transparency in judicial metadata, and reform to prevent “lawfare” from becoming standard operating procedure.

The Brazilian people deserve better than a system where private conversations among citizens can trigger SWAT-style raids justified by doctored documents. True democracy requires honest institutions, not fabricated pretexts. As more evidence emerges, the pressure for a full, impartial investigation into these tactics will only grow. The rule of law must apply equally—or it applies to no one.

“🚨 Bombshell: Independent2 forensics prove the 2022 PF report justifying Moraes’ raids on Bolsonaro businessmen was BACKDATED—created DAYS AFTER the operations. Metadata doesn’t lie. Another blow to the ‘defenders of democracy’ narrative. Full story: [link to article] #Brazil #Lawfare #Moraes”
