Claude P. Napoleon, age 96, from Asbury Park, New Jersey peacefully passed away on December 7, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Claude, born in 1928, embodied perseverance, honesty, and dedication. He was a man of great strength and foresight, who created a life based on hard work, unshakeable faith, and a profound love for his family. In 1968, Claude moved to the United States with the help of his siblings, in search of a brighter future for his family. He faced every obstacle with grace and resolve, working tirelessly to support his loved ones. His strong work ethic and positive outlook were unmatched. Claude spent 62 wonderful years with his late wife, Marie Francoise Napoleon (nee Volant), who passed away on December 14, 2020. Together, they raised four children: Frantz Napoleon, Marie Florence Gore, Guilloux Napoleon, and Guilene Napoleon. Later in life, Claude welcomed two more children, Delourdes Pierre and Aaron Dock, who brought him immense joy and fulfillment. He was a fierce defender of his family and close ones. Claude’s life was also marked by joy and humor. He had a love for watching WWF wrestling, always rooting for his favorite wrestlers with the excitement of a true fan. A fun-loving individual, Claude would sometimes break into a spontaneous moonwalk, showcasing his Michael Jackson dance moves to the pleasure of family and friends. And no gathering was complete without a lively game of dominoes, where Claude’s quick wit and competitive nature shined. Deeply devoted to his faith, Claude was an integral part of his church communities in Asbury Park, New Jersey and Ocoee, Florida. He found comfort and purpose in helping others and expressing his steadfast devotion to God. His church family and spiritual journey were central to his life and legacy. Above all, Claude’s greatest happiness came from his family, particularly his 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He treasured every moment spent with them, exchanging stories, laughter, and wisdom that will endure for generations. For them, he was a constant source of love, support, and motivation. Claude is survived by his six children, numerous grandchildren, and his beloved extended family. While his absence will be deeply felt, his legacy of love, strength, and vibrant energy will endure in the lives of those who knew him. A memorial service will take place on December 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Haitian Baptist Church, situated at 4701 Lenox Blvd. in Orlando.
