BRAZIL: THE VOTING MACHINE DISCREPANCIES 🔥👀

    By Hotspotnews

In the weeks following Brazil’s 2026 presidential runoff, a video circulating on social media has focused attention on voting results in Maués, a municipality in Amazonas state. The video, produced by commentator Gustavo Segrè, examines results from a polling station at the Escola Municipal Indígena Uniawasap’i. It notes that Flávio Bolsonaro received 16 votes at that station in the first round but zero in the second round, while Lula’s total there rose from 310 to 333.

Segrè’s presentation frames the change as part of a broader pattern. It displays the station’s official bulletin of results alongside local contracts for fuel and river transport valued in the tens of millions of reais, and it points to political figures connected to those contracts who hold or seek local office. The video treats the zero-vote outcome for Bolsonaro at that location, and similar outcomes at other stations in indigenous and remote areas, as raising questions about the consistency of the electronic voting process.

Maués as a whole recorded a decisive result in the runoff. Official totals show Lula receiving 22,523 votes (83.64 percent of valid votes) and Bolsonaro 4,407 votes (16.36 percent). Turnout was roughly 72.5 percent, with several hundred blank and null ballots. Across Amazonas, Lula also carried the state, though by a narrower margin than in Maués.

The specific station highlighted in the video is one of more than one hundred nationwide where Bolsonaro received no votes in the second round. Most of those stations are in the North region, and a substantial share are located in indigenous schools or communities. First-round data from the same stations generally show small but non-zero support for Bolsonaro. Supporters of the video’s thesis argue that the disappearance of that support between rounds, concentrated in certain geographic and demographic pockets, is statistically unusual and coincides with local political and economic networks.

Brazilian electoral authorities maintain that the electronic voting system includes multiple safeguards. Each machine produces a zero-vote report (zerésima) before polls open, signed by party observers, and a printed bulletin at the close of voting. The software source code is made available for inspection by parties and technical entities in advance of the election, and results are subject to parallel vote counting and audit procedures. Officials have stated that zero-vote outcomes for individual candidates at individual stations are possible and have occurred in previous elections, particularly in small or demographically homogeneous precincts.

Critics of the official explanation contend that the combination of the numerical shift, the location of the stations, and the surrounding commercial relationships warrants closer scrutiny of both the voting process and local campaign practices. They note that similar questions have been raised in other Amazonian municipalities involving the same candidates. Supporters of the certified results reply that isolated precinct outcomes do not override the aggregate audit trail, and that changes in voting patterns between rounds are a normal feature of runoff elections.

The discussion continues on social media and in some political circles. No formal challenge has, as of early November 2026, produced a judicial finding that altered the certified totals in Maués or elsewhere. The episode has, however, kept the long-running debate over Brazil’s electronic voting system in public view, with particular attention on how results are recorded and verified in remote and indigenous areas.
‘we all know it was tempered but everyone is the dented the truth. Injustice, greed and power are instruments to cheat the people. Will that ever change?  Never,,,
