These include repeated visits to the state, participation in training courses, established political networks, and precedents of candidates succeeding outside their birth states—such as Governor Tarcísio de Freitas in São Paulo. Far from relying on a single personal anecdote, Diniz provided a balanced view, even noting that Rio de Janeiro might offer an easier path. Yet clips circulated by Constantino and company surgically removed the context, fixating solely on a past relationship to paint the discussion as frivolous or unserious. This is not journalism; it is calculated distortion designed to undermine allies of President Jair Bolsonaro.
Such tactics reveal a troubling pattern. Elements of the so-called “right” have grown comfortable attacking the Bolsonaro family and its most loyal defenders while still relying on the conservative base for relevance. Rodrigo Constantino, who built much of his audience among Bolsonaristas, now appears more interested in scoring points against patriotic voices than confronting the real threats facing Brazil: socialist policies, judicial overreach, and cultural decay. The disrespect extends beyond politics. Diniz has also highlighted a vile personal attack on his mother by Amauri Saad, who publicly insulted her in the most degrading terms. Family is sacred in conservative values, yet this incident was downplayed or twisted by the same circles. When traditional Brazilian families—embodying faith, loyalty, and resilience—are targeted, it signals how far some have strayed from the principles that define the right.
Deputy Gil Diniz, a steadfast Bolsonarista known for his defense of conservative ideals, free speech, and resistance to leftist tyranny, is right to demand accountability. Extrajudicial requests for reply have reportedly been ignored, leaving legal action as a necessary recourse. True conservatives understand that honest debate strengthens the movement; manipulation and personal smears only empower the left.
Brazil’s right cannot afford self-inflicted wounds. The fight against globalism, moral erosion, and authoritarian institutions requires loyalty to proven leaders like the Bolsonaros, not performative criticism from those chasing relevance in elite media circles.
