The Video Moraes Said Did Not Exist
By Hotspotnews
Alexandre de Moraes told the country he never boarded a plane belonging to Daniel Vorcaro. A security camera at Santos Dumont now shows him walking off one.
On 22 August 2025, Moraes and his wife, Viviane Barci, left a Legacy 650 registered PP-NLR on the Rio tarmac. Ground staff met them on the apron. One of them carried their bags. The jet was tied to a company in Vorcaro’s orbit. Months later, in April 2026, Moraes’ office issued a categorical note through the Supreme Court: he had “never traveled on any plane of Daniel Vorcaro.” When the footage surfaced this Sunday, the same denial was repeated.

That is not a misunderstanding. It is a public statement colliding with a timestamped image.
The money around the flight is not rumor either. Federal Police material already described a R$131 million legal contract between Banco Master and Barci’s firm, and a second proposed R$50 million arrangement in which aircraft and helicopter usage was discussed as part of the compensation. Messages recovered from Vorcaro’s devices asked whether “they” were using the planes. The manager of the jet pool answered that the couple had already used aircraft and helicopters, and that variable charges had not been billed after a contract change involving Barci’s office. Folha and other outlets had previously counted about eight executive flights in 2025 linked to that network. Moraes and the firm say the second contract was never signed, that the flights were ordinary air-taxi services, and that Vorcaro was not on board. The video does not settle every legal question. It does settle the simplest one: the plane denial does not survive contact with the footage.
This is why the episode is larger than one Sunday clip. Vorcaro is not a random businessman. He is the former controller of Banco Master, a bank that blew a hole measured in the tens of billions and left him in prison. Police reports made public this month described dozens of messages sent from his phone to a contact saved as Alexandre de Moraes, reported in-person meetings, and a question, two days before his November 2025 arrest, about whether he needed to leave the country. Moraes’ answer has been consistent in form: the chats are a fabrication or mere notes, not a two-way conversation; he never judged a Master case; the inquiry is revenge timed for the election. A court that accepts that package without testing the new video against the old note is asking the public to treat official language as optional.
What else is hidden? Nobody honest should pretend to know the contents of files that have not been opened. The dangerous habit on all sides is to invent a secret and then demand it be treated as fact. The documented record is already serious enough. There is a denied flight that now exists on camera. There are large contracts with the justice’s family firm. There are police findings about aircraft used as compensation. There is an internal war at the STF over whether a sitting justice can be investigated at all. On 15 September the Court still did not answer that question. Flávio Dino asked for more time. The file was pushed past the most sensitive stretch of the campaign. That delay is now harder to defend.
A conservative argument does not need a conspiracy novel. It needs a standard. If an ordinary defendant issued a sworn denial and airport video later showed the opposite, prosecutors would call it material. If a minister of the Court does it, the institution cannot hide behind procedure and hope the election calendar saves it. Edson Fachin has spent weeks containing a crisis instead of resolving it. Containment is not the same as accountability. The public can see the plane. The Court has to decide whether seeing it still counts.
Lies after lies is a slogan until the next document arrives. The better sentence is colder: the official story changed when the tape appeared, and every prior denial now has to be read against that tape.
