The Unjust Imprisonment of a Patriot: Why Jair Bolsonaro Deserves Immediate Freedom

The Unjust Imprisonment of a Patriot: Why Jair Bolsonaro Deserves Immediate Freedom – Just Like Lula Got His “CEP Errado” Escape

Brazil must stop for real justice By Hotspotnews

In the land that once proudly called itself the giant of the Americas, a grotesque double standard now reigns supreme. One former president, convicted on flimsy corruption charges, walks free thanks to a convenient “technicality” – the infamous “CEP errado” that magically erased years of imprisonment. Another former president, a true defender of God, family, and country, rots behind bars on trumped-up political charges, denied the very same mercy the system so eagerly granted his leftist rival.

This is not justice. This is vengeance dressed in judicial robes.

Jair Bolsonaro, the man who pulled Brazil back from the brink of socialist ruin, now serves a staggering 27-year sentence in a regime that reeks of persecution. Convicted by a Supreme Federal Court (STF) packed with ideologues, he stands accused of leading a “coup” – the same court that once bent over backwards to free Lula da Silva when procedural flaws conveniently appeared in his Lava Jato cases. Remember the “CEP errado”? The STF ruled that Lula’s trials happened in the wrong jurisdiction, nullifying everything and restoring his political rights overnight. An 8-3 decision, hailed by the left as a triumph of due process.

So where is that same due process for Bolsonaro?

The hypocrisy is breathtaking. When it suited the establishment, jurisdictional incompetence was an “absolute nullity” – grounds for immediate release and case dismissal. Today, when the target is a conservative icon who dared challenge the globalist elite, the same court dismisses every preliminary claim of incompetence, bias, or irregularity with cold finality. Preliminary nullities? Rejected. Jurisdiction arguments? Brushed aside. The First Turma, led by the relentless Alexandre de Moraes, has turned the law into a weapon against dissent.

Patriots see through the charade. Bolsonaro’s supporters – millions of hardworking Brazilians who value freedom, faith, and national sovereignty – demand equal treatment. If Lula’s flawed process deserved annulment and freedom, then Bolsonaro’s politically charged ordeal demands the same: immediate release, nullification of proceedings, and restoration of his voice in the public square.

This is bigger than one man. It’s about whether Brazil will remain a democracy or descend into a banana republic where courts pick winners and losers based on ideology. The January 8 detainees – ordinary citizens, military men like Filipe Martins and Braga Netto – languish as political prisoners for daring to protest a disputed election. Their cause is Bolsonaro’s cause: the fight against an overreaching judiciary that silences opposition while coddling allies.

The Brazilian people are awakening. Pressure mounts in Congress for amnesty. Whispers of broader relief grow louder. The right mobilizes, the Centrão negotiates, and even some within the system recognize the unsustainable injustice. Bolsonaro’s health struggles in confinement only highlight the cruelty – a 70-year-old former leader denied basic dignity while his tormentors lecture the world on “democracy.”

    Enough is enough.

Jair Bolsonaro is no criminal; he is a political prisoner in a nation hijacked by leftist institutions. The same rules that freed Lula must free Bolsonaro – or admit once and for all that Brazilian “justice” is nothing more than selective persecution.

The time for polite patience is over. The patriots of Brazil demand liberty for their captain. Release Jair Bolsonaro now. Restore justice. End the farce.

God, family, freedom – these values will prevail. The lion may be caged for now, but the roar of a free people cannot be silenced forever.
