Accountability First: The Childhood Cancer Crisis and Those Who Must Answer for It

    By Hotspotnews

Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, the surgeon, biotech pioneer, and owner of the Los Angeles Times, has stated what many parents already know in their bones. For the first time in his long career he has treated 8-, 9-, and 10-year-old children with colon cancer. He has seen a 13-year-old die of metastatic pancreatic cancer. He has said the rising incidence of these aggressive cancers must be addressed “in relation to Covid vaccines.”

These are not theories from the fringes. They are clinical observations from a mainstream figure who has spent decades fighting cancer. When a man of his stature refuses to look away, the rest of us have a duty to do the same—and to demand more than studies and statements. We must demand accountability.

For years, public-health officials, pharmaceutical executives, media gatekeepers, and political leaders treated legitimate safety questions as threats to be crushed. Healthy children and young adults were subjected to mandates. Dissenting doctors lost careers. Parents who hesitated were shamed. Excess deaths, myocarditis, and unusual cancer patterns were minimized or ignored while the official message remained absolute: the shots were safe, effective, and non-negotiable.

That era of enforced consensus has real human costs. Families now face diagnoses once considered vanishingly rare in children. Those costs were not inevitable accidents of nature. They followed deliberate policy choices, rushed emergency authorizations, liability shields, and aggressive suppression of contrary evidence. Accountability means identifying who made those choices, who enforced them, and who silenced the warnings.

Accountability is not vengeance. It is justice and prevention. It requires:

    • Transparent release of all vaccine safety data and adverse-event analyses without political filtering.
    • Independent review of the decision-making process that expanded mandates to low-risk populations, including children.
    • Examination of financial and institutional incentives that prioritized compliance over caution.
    • Consequences for officials and institutions that labeled open inquiry as misinformation while rare but catastrophic outcomes accumulated.

Soon-Shiong’s willingness to speak publicly matters precisely because it comes from inside the medical and media establishment. It undercuts the claim that only “anti-science” voices raised alarms. Conservatives who warned about overreach, insufficient long-term data, and the dangers of one-size-fits-all medicine were right to insist on caution. The appearance of aggressive cancers in elementary-school children confirms that the precautionary principle was abandoned when it was needed most.

We cannot simply commission more papers and declare the matter closed. Lives have been ruined. Children have died of diseases their parents never imagined. The people and institutions that drove the policies must face scrutiny proportional to the power they wielded and the certainty they projected.

Answers are necessary. Accountability is non-negotiable. Without it, the same combination of haste, hubris, and censorship will be repeated the next time fear is used to demand obedience. American families deserve both truth and justice.
