The Delusion of Gender Fluidity: A Conservative Critique of Érika Hilton’s Carnival Spectacle
By Hotspotnews
In the vibrant chaos of Brazil’s Carnival, where tradition meets spectacle, a recent appearance by federal congressman Érika Hilton (Felipe) has sparked outrage among those who value truth over illusion. Hilton, born male and now identifying as a transgender woman, paraded in a presidential sash amid floats celebrating black female empowerment. Conservative commentator and São Paulo city councilor Adrilles Jorge rightly called it out on X as fabricated propaganda, distorting gender, race, and cultural history. This isn’t just a parade float; it’s a symptom of a deeper societal rot where delusion is elevated to policy, funded by hardworking taxpayers.
From a conservative perspective grounded in biblical truth and biological reality, accepting a man as a woman simply because he declares it or undergoes cosmetic changes is not compassion—it’s complicity in a dangerous fantasy. God created humanity male and female, as Genesis 1:27 clearly states, with fixed distinctions in bone structure, chromosomes, and purpose. Hormone therapies might soften edges, reducing muscle mass by 3-5% or shifting fat distribution, but they don’t rewrite DNA or reshape a male skeleton’s broader shoulders and narrower hips. Even post-mortem, forensic science identifies remains based on these immutable markers. To pretend otherwise defies divine design and invites chaos.
This delusion extends far beyond personal choice when it invades public life. Hilton’s Carnival stunt, themed around “black women and revolutions,” positions has a symbol of female leadership—yet HE cannot represent the authentic struggles of biological women, from childbirth to the historical burdens of the female workforce. It’s an affront to real women, black or otherwise, who have fought for recognition without relying on surgical alterations or media hype. Carnival, rooted in European festivals blended with African-Brazilian resilience like samba, should celebrate cultural heritage, not serve as a stage for ideological subversion.Worse still, this fantasy is taxpayer-funded.
In Brazil, where public resources SHAMELESSLY support gender-affirming care—including hormones and surgeries for adults—citizens foot the bill for what many see as elective procedures fueling mental distress rather than resolving it. Studies show transitioned individuals face elevated suicide risks, up to 19 times higher in long-term cohorts, alongside disorders like depression and feelings of inadequacy. Regret, though underreported, affects a minority who detransition, often citing irreversible harms: infertility from hormone-induced sterility, surgical complications leading to chronic pain or loss of sexual pleasure, and a haunting sense of incompleteness. Men cannot bear children; surgeries are mutilations that promise wholeness but deliver lifelong sentences of dependency on medications and unresolved dysphoria.
The real crime here is extending this to children. Kids are naturally curious, playing sports, exploring the world without innate gender confusion. Yet progressive influences in schools and media plant seeds of doubt, encouraging puberty blockers that halt natural development, risking bone density loss, fertility issues, and cognitive impacts. Evidence from reviews like the UK’s Cass Report labels these interventions as low-quality, with most childhood dysphoria resolving naturally—80-95% in older studies. To vouch for chemical or surgical changes in youth is to condemn them to suffering, overriding parental guidance and divine order. Schools should educate minds, not confuse them; parents, fortified by faith, must teach consequences, right from wrong, and the beauty of God’s creation.
Society crumbles without order. Defying family, faith, and biology destabilizes everything—from cultural events like Carnaval to the fabric of community. We need a return to principles: strong religious foundations shaping responsible citizens who understand cause and effect. Nothing substitutes for that—certainly not taxpayer dollars propping up delusions. Conservatives must stand firm, calling out spectacles like Hilton’s as what they are: not empowerment, but erosion of truth. Recently Erika Hilton requested a US VISA, which was accepted but given to a male since that is his birth gender and the only one recognized by the US. For the a Trump administration there is no such a thing as the corruption of gender, and that is a final answer. By God you are born a man and as such will remain until the day you die.
