Daniel Vorcaro and the Influence Network Around Banco Master
By Hotspotnews
While the bank operated under mounting liquidity pressure, Vorcaro used private events, luxury hospitality, and personal relationships to seek access and advantages inside government and judicial circles. Recovered messages and records show he organized gatherings that mixed high-cost entertainment with carefully managed guest lists. A documented Halloween party on 31 October 2023 at the Madame Satã nightclub in São Paulo was planned for roughly 120 women and 20 men. Phones were prohibited, young models were requested, and organizing chats handled by former minister Fábio Faria mentioned invitations to senators and a Supreme Court justice. Many of the named individuals later denied attending. Vorcaro also described large parties involving sex workers as part of his “business” in messages to his then-girlfriend.
Reporting based on Federal Police material has further described a pattern of recruitment and logistics for private events in Brazil and abroad. Intermediaries arranged the presence of models and other women; some messages discussed payments, travel, and preferences. Separate investigations noted contracts worth tens of millions of reais with the law firm of Viviane Barci de Moraes, wife of Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes, along with communications and hospitality involving other senior figures. Central Bank supervisors were also drawn into informal consulting arrangements that included payments. Vorcaro maintained a substantial cellar of high-end wines that was used for dinners and events with officials and politicians.
These activities did not replace the financial scheme; they operated alongside it. The events and the short periods of exclusive access created proximity that could be converted into contracts, delayed supervision, or other practical favors while the bank’s balance sheet deteriorated. Public discussion has often lingered on the guest lists and the extravagance. The underlying mechanism was more direct: a financial operation generating large losses, protected for a time by a network of personal relationships built through money, hospitality, and controlled social settings.
Vorcaro was arrested in March 2026. The bank remains liquidated, and multiple investigations continue. The documented record shows both the scale of the financial damage and the methods used to cultivate institutional access. Whether those methods crossed into systematic sexual favors that compromised judicial independence remains a matter of ongoing inquiry rather than settled fact. What is already clear is that the combination of weak assets, rapid growth, and targeted influence produced one of the largest guarantee-fund exposures in Brazilian banking history.
